Free at last!!!

Thanks to God, Hudson got his cast off today! Other than the Dr's office, he had a GREAT day. We met up with Betsy, Jack, & Sam and spent most of the day running around.

First bath! He did NOT want to get out!

Where did the time go? I can't believe it has been 11 months since this little guy came into our life. It just gets better all the time...

Mmmm...

Hudson enjoying some Halloween treats!

Happy Halloween

Hudson's 1st Halloween was a fun day packed with activities. We started our day early by heading to Canton.

Hudson had finally seen enough!

After a short nap at Granna's, we headed out again to the Fruia's for a Halloween party and trick-or-treating.
Hudson (we gave his original 'Lil' Stinker' costume a shot, but he wasn't too crazy about it) and his cousin Noah, the precious little giraffe.

Hudson eating pizza for the very first time! It was a hit!

All of the kiddos ready to go!

I am not sure who enjoys these things more, the moms or the kids?

Mmmm cookies!

Now, that was A LOT of cookies.

Betsy and I baked and decorated a few cookies today, 160 to be exact, and had lots of fun doing it. Our boys got quite bored with us but they hung in there. We ended up taking a dinner break to my moms, which I think they all enjoyed.

Crafts

Here are some of the little things I have made lately.

This is a little book caddy I made for my mom.

Betsy made one of these for her house, and I liked it so much I stole the idea and made a couple Christmas gifts.

Boo! @ the Zoo

Yesterday we went to Boo at the Zoo and had lots ot fun seeing all of the decorations, animals, and of course getting lots of candy. There was quite a crew - Hudson, Jack, Sam, Hayden, Ava and we also saw Rhett, Dylan, & Luke.

First time!

So after a couple weeks of admiring other people's blogs, I thought I would give it a shot.

The last month has been crazy and one that I will not hesitate saying 'goodbye' to. As many of you know, Hudson broke his femur while we were visiting Tennessee. Dennis, my mom, Hudson, and I had spent a few days intensely looking at houses and on the day we were to head back home, Hudson had a little accident. Two ER visits, an ambulance ride, a night in the hospital, and a trip to the OR later, Hudson and I flew back home to start our 'adventures in the spica cast.' I thank God every day for trusting me with such an amazing little guy. Hudson has been such a trooper and I CAN'T WAIT to hug his whole little body again. Just the though of getting to give him a bath brings me to tears.

Having Dennis in Tennessee, Hudson's little incident, and a pretty bad car wreck, have all challenged my faith and my strength as a person. God has always been with me and He never fails to pull me back up on my feet when I just don't think I can do it. As I look at my little boy, I am reminded of God's love for us, and how what we feel as humans pales in comparison to the love He has for us. Now that is overwhelming.
